Setting Notification Preferences
Discord
Discord access and notifications are organized by roles. The sections below walk through obtaining roles, setting up your notification preferences, and troubleshooting if push notifications stop working.
Roles
Within the discord, access to certain channels and notifications you receive from those channels depend upon your roles.
Upon joining Pokenotify, you will gain the necessary roles in order to view the role channels for your region.
Roles are primarily organized by webstores that we monitor so if you would like to receive notifications for a specific store, you need to obtain that store's role.
In order to obtain the role for a specific channel or store, all you need to do is click or react on the icon with the corresponding store. Please see the image below as it provides examples of various roles for U.S. Monitors.
Notifications
The purpose of setting up notification preferences is to ensure you are not overwhelmed with notifications or too many channels.
Once you've finished exploring the discord, the next step is ensuring you have notification preferences setup.
Please review the guide below that will assist you with understanding how to setup notification preferences:

In order for you to have the best user experience we do recommend reviewing the retailers listed and muting notifications for those who you do not care to have notifications for.
Hiding Muted Channels
Once you have muted channels that you do not care for, we then recommend you consider hiding the muted channels. This will allow for a cleaner, more concise channel list within your user profile.

There could be a variety of reasons causing the issue, from device settings to Discord-specific problems. Here's a comprehensive troubleshooting guide to help you identify and fix the issue:
- Server-specific Settings: Make sure you haven't muted the server or channel you're expecting notifications from. Right-click the server icon, go to Notification Settings, and ensure it's not muted or set to Only Mentions.
- General Notification Settings: Open Discord settings by clicking the gear icon next to your username. Under Notifications, ensure that Enable Desktop Notifications and Enable Push Notifications(if you're on mobile) are turned on.
By systematically going through each of these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with Discord push notifications not working.
